International safe abortion day is observed every year on September 28, It was first observed in Latin America and the Caribbean in 1990 it was launched as a campaign for the Decriminalization of abortion in Latin America and the Caribbean for over 20 years. Then later on in 2011 it became a global event. Since then in over 85 countries this day has become an important day to reproductive rights activism, It also highlights the important contributions made by Latin and Caribbean women in the fight for reproductive right. To celebrate this day today(28 sept 2022) I gave a presentation in my school on the history and importance of this day and held a small QnA session!
